Step 1: Set aside all of your supplies before getting started. Here you can see all of the supplies I use as well as a couple of completed wine markers on the top left. |
Step 2: First, cut a piece of jewelry wire about 4 inches long. |
Step 3: Next, place the crimping bead on to the wire, then loop the other end through. You will have a loop with the long and short sides of the wire through the bead (as seen here). Finally, squeeze the bead so that it secures the two wires together and makes a loop at the end. |
Step 4: See above (this is just a closeup of the pliers) |
Step 5: Cut the sharp short end piece off so it doesn't poke anyone!
Step 6: Next, add your beads, whatever design you like |
Step 7: Be sure to align the beads so that all the letters read correctly and are not mismatched in their direction. I use a small bead between the letters to space them out a bit. |
Step 8: Then, place the second crimping bead at the end of your wire (when finished stringing all your beads). Clamp this in place with your pliers. |
Step 9: Use the plier to make a curve, then cut the extra wire off to make a hook that fits in to the loop |
Step 10: This is a closeup of the finished product. |
Step 11: Hook it together, and there you have it! |
Step 12: As a means of 'presenting' these and making them look formal (on a shoestring budget), I use cardstock paper and print out an image, then use scrapbook stamp/cutouts to make a slit then hook on all of your wine markers. |
Step 13: It makes a fabulous gift that is low in cost and short on time!! |
