How to make a candle in a jar gift...

(The finished product)

Candle Jar Craft Project

Supplies Needed:

One candle saucer (approximately 3” – 4” in diameter)
One faux holly berry wreath (approximately 3” – 4” in diameter)
*Available at craft stores, especially during the holiday season
One 6” pillar candle (green, white, or red)
One clear glass jar with a lid (approximately 8” high and 6” in diameter)
One coordinating piece of ribbon (approximately 2’ in length)

Here's how to make this candle in a jar gift:

Step 1: Place the candle saucer on your worktable.

Step 2: Place faux holly berry wreath on candle saucer.

Step 3: Place candle on candle saucer and inside wreath.

Step 4: Gently lower the arrangement into the jar.  The candle should not rise above the opening of the jar.  This will allow the gift recipient to safely keep the flame within the jar.

Step 5: Tighten the lid on the opening of the jar.  Tie a coordinating ribbon around the top of the jar.

Since the candle is set within a jar, it will give off a nice soft glow when lit by the gift recipient.  The lid must remain off of the jar when the candle is lit.
